To terminate an RJ45 connector onto an Ethernet cable, a process called crimping is used. Crimping involves carefully stripping the outer jacket of the cable, arranging the individual wires according to a specific wiring scheme (such as T568A or T568B), inserting them into the appropriate slots on the RJ45 connector, and using a crimping tool to secure the connector to the cable.
